iSupport wants to make sure you feel safe, listened to, and respected whenever you need healthcare.

What is iSupport?

iSupport is about making sure your rights as a child or young person are respected when you are visiting a health professional. It includes things like:

  • Your right to be told information about what is happening in a way you understand.

  • Your right to say how you feel and have adults listen to your ideas.

  • Your right to be kept safe, comfortable, and helped if you are in pain.

How was iSupport made?

iSupport started when a young person named Katie challenged us to find a way to improve children’s experiences when they need health care.

When we were making iSupport, we didn't just guess what matters to children—we asked them! We worked with children, young people, parents, doctors, and nurses from all over the world to make the iSupport standards and resources. 

How can iSupport help you?

We are working hard to help health professionals remember to speak directly to you, explain things clearly, and support you every step of the way.
